Ida Band

Welcome to the Ida Band website

The Ida Band Program is recognized as one of the finest small band programs in the state of Michigan and is the product of the small rural farming community of Ida, Michigan. In 2015, the band came in second place in the statewide vote to determine "Michigan's Coolest Marching Band." Most recently, in 2021 the band was selected as the "Best Band - Fan Favorite" in the Detroit region of Michigan in a contest held by the Detroit Free Press and USA Today.

The band has represented Michigan in it's travel to and performances in England, France, Florida, and New York City. Closer to home, the band regularly performs at the McNamera Terminal of Detroit Metropolitan Airport, Cedar Point, Fifth Third Field (Toledo Mud Hens Games), and The Huntington Center (Toledo Walleye Games). On September 9th of 2023, the band performed for the first time before a Detroit Tigers home game.

In addition to this rich history of travel the band is proud to support our local community through performances at Matthes Tree Farm, Carl's Hide-a-Way, Ida Kids Center, Culligan Water, and Fountainview of Monroe.

We are also proud to be regular participants in local celebrations and events including the Christmas In Ida Festival, Ida Community Day, the Luna Pier Veterans Day Parade, and the Ida Sesquicentennial Celebration.
